The Gatherer was inspired by medieval witchcraft pamphlets. However, unlike the historical pamphlets, this carving is intended to celebrate the true nature of the women that were often labelled as witches. The healers, gatherers and other knowledgeable women that didn’t quite fit in or play by the rules.
